Trade register · Tangier

Registration that gives your company legal existence

Without trade register registration, a company cannot open a business bank account, sign contracts in its own name or issue valid invoices. It is the act that makes your structure enforceable against third parties.

The Moroccan RC is maintained by commercial courts and centralised by OMPIC under the Commercial Code. In Tangier, LetsPro assembles the dossier, files it and tracks through to the extract (Modèle J).

Starting from scratch? Company formation, online formation Morocco, negative certificate and domiciliation are handled under one roof.

Registration requirement

Who must register with the trade register ?

  • Commercial companies

SARL, SARL AU, SA, SNC and similar forms: mandatory registration before trading. The usual legal deadline is three months from incorporation or opening of the establishment.

  • Sole traders

Any natural person carrying on a commercial activity professionally must register with the RC — same three-month regularisation deadline.

  • Branches & representations

A foreign company opening an office or branch in Morocco registers locally. Without registration, the court may order closure until regularised.

  • Auto-entrepreneurs

Exception: the RNAE status does not require trade register registration. The RNAE identifier suffices. Above the thresholds or for a SARL, RC registration becomes mandatory again.

How it works

Obtain your trade register in Tangier

Four steps, from the OMPIC name to the RC extract — led by a certified accountant in Tangier.

  1. OMPIC negative certificate

Company name reservation (three proposals). Without a negative certificate, the registry will not register. LetsPro also handles this step via our negative certificate page.

  2. Articles & dossier

Drafting and legalisation of articles, ID of manager / shareholders, registered office proof (lease or domiciliation) and authorisations if the activity is regulated.

  3. CRI or DirectEntreprise filing

Dossier submitted to the CRI Tangier or online via DirectEntreprise by an authorised professional (notary, lawyer, certified accountant). The registry assigns the RC number.

  4. RC, ICE, IF & next steps

Delivery of the extract (Modèle J), ICE assignment (OMPIC) and tax ID (IF, DGI), then business licence / professional tax, CNSS and legal publications if needed.
